Was were use in sentences is quite common. It important use was and were correctly in English grammar. The use of ‘was’ and ‘were’ is common in sentences. Generally, was and were is used to denote where a person was at a particular time and what that person was doing. ‘Was’ is used with pronouns I, he, she, and it. The word ‘were’ is used with pronouns we, you, and they. It also denotes a state of being of a particular thing.

Past Continuous Tense (Was Were Use)
